Insights into neighbourhood
Telav is a developing suburb situated nearer to the city of Ahmedabad in Gujarat. The network of roads in and around this area include the Shela Road, Sahara City Road, Telav – Ghuma Road and Sanand Shela Road along with other smaller lanes. But it is the Sahara City Road that plays the key node in this area by joining with the Sardar Patel Ring Road at minutes away from Telav, thus giving prime importance to roadways for this area that acts as a primal means to commute within the city and beyond in ease. Railways are accessible from this area at short distances away by the Sanand Railway Station, Ambli Road Railway Station, Vastrapur Railway Station and Sarkhej Station at four corners from Telav. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport falls at a distance away from this locale, however, due to the connection with the Sardar Patel Ring Road, the airport can be reached via a smooth drive. Education in this part is accessed by the schools and colleges like Shela Primary School, MICA, Shanti Business School and Mother Teresa Memorial School. Krishna Shalby Hospital sits right beside this locale and acts as the main medical center around, however, hospitals like Sai Nath Hospital, Samuhik Arogya Kendra, Adarsh Hospital, Mamta Hospital, etc. are just minutes away from Telav. And it is due to the availability of every basic establishment of schools, colleges, market places, hospitals, banks, ATMs, etc in the vicinity that has transformed Telav into a hot spot for investors and Real Estate developers, thus making it a promising locality for a relaxed lifestyle.
Highrises in the Ahmedabad Metropolitan Region
I think the time is ripe for making a thread on the highrises in and around Ahmedabad. With the government planning to relax the FSI, especially around BRTS and metro routes, we are bound to see some tall buildings in the future. Also S.G. Road, SP Ring Road and Sabarmati Riverfront are all looking good for highrise construction. And of course there is GIFT City!
Although there are many definitions of what a 'highrise' is, I think, as of now considering the local scenario, a building having above 12 floors (or taller than 40 meters) can be defined as a highrise.
We can have this thread for discussing, giving updates and sharing news articles on highrise construction in the Ahmedabad Metropolitan Region (effectively covering areas under the AMC, AUDA, GIFT SEZ and Gandhinagar).
