The Evil Within players worldwide will get the first in a two-part story DLC with The Assignment on March 10.
The Assignment places players in the role of detective Julie Kidman, partner of The Evil Within’s protagonist Sebastian Castellanos. The story-driven DLC centers around her whereabouts during The Evil Within, and reveals her hidden motivations and her connection to the antagonistic organization Mobius.
Kidman’s storyline in The Assignment will carry on into The Evil Within: The Consequence “later this Spring.” The Assignment and The Consequence are included in The Evil Within Season Pass, while the The Assignment can be purchased separately for $10.
Shinji Mikami’s Tango Gameworks survival horror game is slated to receive its third DLC pack, The Keeper, later this year. The Evil Within launched last year and we thought it was “aesthetically, functionally, and spiritually in step with director Shinji Mikami’s last foray into the genre, the iconic Resident Evil 4.”
